Mélissa Groulx, Speech-Language Pathologist, M.Sc.S (ORT) CASLPO
​
Mélissa holds a Bachelor in Health Science with a minor in Psychology and has completed her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Ottawa in 2016. She also has her It Takes Two to Talk® Certification for speech-language pathologists from The Hanen Centre and recently completed her ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) certificate from The Geneva Centre.
Since becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist, Mélissa has offered services to toddlers, preschool and school-aged children with speech and language delays, language-based learning difficulties (dyslexia, dysorthographia) and physical and developmental delays such as Down Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Mélissa discovered her passion for ASD during her internship at Camp été fou, a summer camp that seeks to enhance the development of social interaction and communication skills of children with ASD. Since then, she has been working with many children with autism at the ABC Pediatric Clinic and at a weekly program, Sam-dit Turbos offered by Société franco-ontarienne de l’autisme. Working with kids with autism has really become a passion of hers on this new adventure as a Speech-Language Pathologist!

Mélanie Roy, Speech-Language Pathologist, M.Sc.S (ORT) CASLPO

Melanie completed her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Ottawa in 2004. Since then, Melanie has provided her SLP services in school settings in the Ottawa area as well as New Brunswick for over 10 years. Her time spent working in that environment has enabled her to develop a proficiency with respect to the impact of language difficulties on school learning. Her previous work experience has allowed her to support children (often from bilingual households) that possess difficulties with language comprehension, expressive language, reading, writing, articulation and stuttering. She also provided services in her own private practice in New Brunswick for nearly four years.
Over the course of her career, Melanie has had the opportunity to offer several workshops for teachers and parents, something she cherishes deeply. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her two children and husband.

Monic Breton, M.O.A. Reg. CASLPO, Speech-Language Pathologist
​
Monic is a bilingual (French-English) clinician who has been practicing Speech-Language Pathology for 25 years. She has provided services to children of all ages as part of a multidisciplinary team in a Children’s Treatment Centre in Northern Ontario and then worked with toddlers and preschoolers in a Preschool Speech and Language Program.

During her career, Monic has worked with children presenting with developmental delays, acquired brain injury, cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, articulation delays, hearing loss, childhood apraxia of speech and feeding difficulties.
​
As a mother of three young adults, Monic understands the importance of parents’ role in their children’s development and encourages the parents’ involvement in all aspects of intervention. Monic engages children in fun and relevant activities to help them improve their oral and/or written communication skills.
Caroline St-Jean, Speech-Language Pathologist, M.H.Sc, S-LP, REG CASLPO

For the past five years, Caroline has worked in an inclusive school setting in Alberta. During that time, she provided a variety of services (such as assessment, group and individual therapy sessions, consultation, modelling and presentations/training) for school staff and children between the ages of 3 and 21 attending francophone schools throughout Alberta. She has also attended a range of professional development courses in order to provide the best services for children with Complex Communication needs. Starting her seventh year as a Speech-Language Pathologist, Caroline loves diversity and enjoys facing challenges. She is always seeking to enrich her knowledge of literacy, augmentative and alternative communication and multidisciplinary collaboration, which constitutes her professional interests.
Jodie Krys, Speech-Language Pathologist, M.Sc., S-LP, REG CASLPO

Jodie received her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology from McGill University and her Masters of Science in Speech-language Pathology from the University of British Columbia. Jodie has 21 years of clinical experience in a variety of settings including rehabilitation, inpatient acute care, preschool speech and language initiatives and school care. Jodie has evaluated and treated clients with difficulties associated with the following: receptive and expressive language, phonological awareness and early literacy skills, reading, articulation, phonology, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Jodie strongly believes that parents are children’s best teachers and encourages parents to be partners in the therapy process. Jodie provides services in English and French.
Stéphanie Auger, Orthophoniste, M.P.O. Membre REG CASLPO et Membre OOAQ
Stéphanie a complété un baccalauréat suivi d’une maîtrise en orthophonie à l’Université de
Montréal en 2016. Depuis, elle a découvert plusieurs champs d’exercice et a arrêté son
choix sur l’évaluation et le traitement des difficultés langagières auprès des enfants.
Que ce soit en clinique ou en milieu de garde, auprès d’enfants présentant des retards ou
des troubles de langage, des difficultés au niveau de la parole ou de l’articulation, atteints
d’un déficit d’attention ou confrontés à des défis sur le plan social ou émotionnel; pour elle,
chaque enfant est un être en plein développement qui mérite de recevoir le meilleur
traitement pour l’aider à communiquer et à apprendre. Mère de trois enfants elle comprend
l’importance d’offrir des buts simples, fonctionnels et bien adaptés à chaque famille qui la
consulte afin de faciliter une adaptation harmonieuse de l’enfant dans ses divers milieux de
vie.
Alexandra Allard, Speech-Language Pathologist, M.H.Sc., S-LP (C), Reg. CASLPO

Alexandra holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Linguistics and has completed her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Ottawa in 2018. Alexandra is registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario. She also obtained the Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) Clinical Certification in 2018. She has experience assessing and offering intervention to preschool and school-aged children. Alexandra has a particular interest in language delays (language comprehension and expressive language), articulation/phonological disorders, pragmatic skills (social) and literacy skills (reading and writing). She loves working with preschoolers and elementary school-aged children! Alexandra takes a family-centred approach when creating treatment plans. She believes that family collaboration is key for a successful intervention! She enjoys expanding her knowledge of the field and further developing her clinical skills by collaborating with other professionals, keeping up to date with current evidence-based research, and attending workshops. Alexandra provides services in both French and English.
Amélie Charlebois, Speech-Language Pathologist, M.H.Sc., S-LP (C), Reg. CASLPO

Amélie holds a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and completed her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Ottawa in 2019. She is registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario. During her studies, Amélie worked as an educator assistant with children aged 4 to 12 where she discovered her passion for working with children. Amélie has experience assessing and offering intervention to preschool and elementary school-aged children with speech and language delays and language-based learning difficulties (dyslexia, dysorthographia). She also has experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder which she acquired during her placement at Camp d’été fou, a summer camp that seeks to develop social communication skills and high-level language skills. In the future, Amélie plans on attending various professional workshops, particularly in speech and literacy, in order to enrich her knowledge and skill set. She offers services in French and English.
Chloé Fadel, Speech-Language Pathologist, M.H.Sc., S-LP., Reg. CASLPO

Chloé strives to make therapy fun and enjoyable for everyone! She believes in the value of involving parents in every step of the process by providing them with tools, strategies, and activities that can be used at home in order to increase treatment efficacy. Chloé is a bilingual therapist who offers services in both French and English. She enjoys working with preschool and school-aged children and her areas of interest are language delays, stuttering and articulation & phonology. She is certified to offer the Lidcombe Program, a behavioural treatment for children who stutter. She also has a particular interest in multilingual populations and has contributed to research focused on language development of bilingual children. Chloé has practiced in schools and public health, having offered services to children with speech and language delays, as well as having provided parental coaching and early intervention to families of children with autism. She has a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Montreal.
