Bethany Gray

​

Bethany graduated with an Honour’s Linguistics/Biology Degree from Queen’s University in 2014, and went on to complete the Communicative Disorders Assistant program at St. Lawrence College in 2015. She is a certified member of SAC (Speech Audiology Canada), and has received additional training in Picture Exchange Communicating Symbols (PECS -Level 1).

 

 

Since graduating with distinction, Bethany has been working for the Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre (now under the umbrella of CHEO Development and Rehabilitation), in the Clinic for Augmentative Communication (CAC) and Early Childhood Program. There, she has developed a special interest in working with children with exceptionalities, particularly those who use speech-generating devices. She has provided services to those with physical disabilities and developmental delays, including cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome, Rett syndrome, and more!

Bethany was drawn to the field of speech because she loves solving problems – she is never happier than when she can dig into a problem and find a solution to make someone’s life a little bit better. Add that to her long-time love of working with children, and she has found a perfect match.

 

 

Bethany is not presently taking bookings for therapy sessions, however is available to anyone who needs assistance with programming assistive technology devices, such as iPads with Proloquo2Go.
